Poás Volcano
Distance: 50 minutes. The largest active volcano in Costa Rica, accessible by road straight to the crater. There are also walking trails, the old crater which is now a lake and lots of nature surrounding the National Park. There is a building at the entrance of the volcano that shows all the history of the volcano including the recent eruptions of lava and ashes; as well as the flora and fauna that can be seen in the National Park.
